Are soramods projects free?
Unless a project page clearly says otherwise, the mods and resources listed on soramods can be accessed through the download links provided on that page. Third-party download platforms may have their own optional accounts, subscriptions or rules.
How do I install an ETS2 mod?
Download the mod file, keep it in its original .scs or supported archive format, and place it in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 mod folder inside your Documents directory. Start the game, open Mod Manager, enable the mod and place it in the required load order.
Which game versions are supported?
Support varies by project. Check the version badge and download section on the individual mod page. Older releases may remain available, but they are not guaranteed to work with the newest game version.
Do I need ProMods or another dependency?
Only when the project page lists it as required. Dependencies and compatible versions should be installed before the soramods project and arranged according to the stated load order.
Why does a mod not appear in Mod Manager?
Make sure the file is inside the correct mod folder, has not been unpacked unnecessarily and is compatible with your game version. Also check whether the download contains another archive that must be extracted once.
Can I use the mods in Convoy?
Convoy compatibility depends on the project and on every participant using matching files and versions. Map combinations can also require identical load orders for all players.
Where can I find the newest map-combo order?
The Combo page contains archived orders. For the newest actively maintained combination, follow the Discord link shown on that page.
How do I report a bug?
Use the contact options and include the project name, game version, complete load order, relevant log details and clear steps to reproduce the problem. Screenshots are helpful when the issue is visual.
May I reupload or redistribute a project?
Do not reupload, mirror, bundle, sell or redistribute files unless the relevant project page or the author gives explicit permission. Sharing a link to the original soramods page is welcome.
